What Have We Done

The following pages contain examples of systems we have developed for clients.

The Reserve Forces
(Royal Naval Reserves, Royal Marine Reserves, Territorial Army and the Royal Auxiliary Airforce and the Cadets for all services)

Development of an Extranet based management system to handle the whole operation of the 13 Reserve Forces and Cadets Associations nationally. This includes an estate management and accounting system handling £100m per year of works on 7,000 MOD properties nationally, stores management system handling sensitive items such as weapons and ammunition, records of cadets and training, sub letting and administration. The system has around 300 'power' users (plus many more on an occasional basis) on the Military Restricted Internet and is hosted at 14 sites nationally, all synchronised between each other to provide fast access at major sites and high resilience.

Development of Recruitment system for distributing hundreds of enquiries daily to 100 units in Greater London and East Anglia.

Sondex plc

Sondex plc designs, manufactures and markets electro-mechanical based equipment to oilfield service companies, who run operations at the well-site on behalf of the oil or gas company. Sondex equipment is used by all the leading operators and service companies in the world, and has established an excellent reputation for quality and reliability.

We have developed and maintain their Extranet based Enterprise Resource Planning system in use in 8 countries world wide by 200 power users (plus many more occasional users including customers and suppliers). This handles sales, customer services, manufacture, repairs, design, quality, test records, document management, administration and integrates their MRP, accounting and email systems making them available through a web browser anywhere in the world.

Beazley Archive, Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford

Development of multimedia programs about casts, available on the web.

Development of web based text / images database for Greek pottery, gems and sculpture holding information on over 200,000 objects with over 200,000 images which are registered and watermarked, totalling to 4TB of information. The database is extensible and XML based, allowing researchers to create their own datasets in a relational structure within minutes. Around 10,000 people are registered to use the database and the site receives around 200,000 hits per day.

Development of cross searchable databases to link museum-wide and world-wide artefacts through a common search engine.

Running European Union projects to develop museum databases, photo-archives and image processing systems.

We have developed their e-business system between their retailers and their credit scoring system to allow clients to apply for consumer finance online and get an instant decision. Installed at 700 retailer sites across the UK.

Archaeopress

Archaeopress is an Oxford based publisher of B.A.R. - British Archaeological Reports and other archaeological books. We developed an online database www.archaeopress.com that can be maintained by Archaeopress and used as a reference by their customers.
